Recently,new variants of the new coronavirus discovered in many countries in Africa have aroused high vigilance in all countries.On November 26,the World Health Organization issued a statement listing this new variant of the new coronavirus B.1.1.529 as a "mutation that needs attention. Strain" and named Omicron.

This new variant, B.1.1.529 seems to spread very quick!

Also, genetic sequencing showed it carried a large number of troubling mutations on the spike protein -- the knoblike structure on the surface of the virus that it uses to grapple onto the cells it infects.

While experts say they're watching closely, several have said they are not especially worried about Omicron just yet.

As of the 3rd, at least 9 countries and regions have successively reported that Omicron has been clearly discovered.
